Senate approves N850b Loan for Buhari to finance 2020 Budget

The Senate on Tuesday granted approval to President Muhammadu Buhari to borrow N850 billion to finance the 2020 Budget.

BREAKING: Senate Introduces Bill To Create Agency For Repentant Boko Haram Terrorists

The Nigerian senate has introduced a bill to create an agency for all repentant Boko Haram Haram members.
According to a report by Premium Times, the Senate on Thursday began moves to establish an agency that would see to the rehabilitation, deradicalisation and integration of repentant insurgents in the country.

Be honourable members, not horrible members -Lumumba to Nigerian legislators

Director of the Kenya Law School and front line social critics, Prof. Patrick Lumumba on Wednesday told Nigerian lawmakers to make efforts to be true representatives of the people and not be horrible members.

Lumumba who spoke at the unveiling of the Green Chamber magazine by the House of Representatives said the lawmakers were elected by Nigerians to be honourable members representing their people, but regreted that legislators are now being measured by the number of weddings they attend or the number of people they are able to assist.
