Two members of staff of Akwa Ibom State University, Eyo Okon Eminue (aged 39) and Iquo Ebong Okon (aged 46) have today been arraigned before the Chief Magistrate’s Court sitting in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State on charges of criminal defamation of the character of Prof. Eno Ibanga, Acting Vice Chancellor of the Akwa Ibom State.
The duo have, in what appears to be a carefully calculated plan, made countless defamatory publications on Facebook against the person of Prof. Eno Ibanga.

A 17-year-old housewife, Rabi Rabi’u, who stabbed her husband, Shamsu Salisu, to death in Katsina State last Wednesday, has explained that a misunderstanding on who should first charge their mobile telephone led to a scuffle in which he died. A Federal High Court sitting in Abuja today found Maryam Sanda guilty of killing her husband, Bilyaminu Bello. She was sentenced to death by hanging by the judge.
